Real Dance for Real Kids!
Your child is always dancing, whenever you put music on....they're the first to perform when you have guests over. Or maybe they're a little shy but you know they have "happy feet", so you're looking for a dance class. Some dance studios (OK, let's be honest, most of them) focus too much on ability, looks and excruciating levels of detail. And that's fine, if your son or daughter wants to become a really serious dancer. It takes time, dedication and sometimes some very critical analysis. And the studio wants your undivided attention, leaving precious little time for those other important activities - music, team sports, art - in your schedule.
But there are many, many of you out there whose kids want to learn dance and still have fun in a relaxed, positive environment. For you, we bring you Kids Dance Now!, a Minnetonka studio dedicated to bringing the joy of dance and musical theater to boys and girls of all abilities. With a variety of classes to suit all kids ages 2 through 12, you can find a class and schedule to suit you. And you can still fit in those other activities that your son or daughter want to do. You know who you are! But if you're reading this, you probably aren't. Kids Dance Now! is about making dance fun, positive and accessible. No competitions, no stress, no "mandatory rehearsals". Let us teach your child the love of dance and musical theater in a relaxing, friendly environment. Like we said, real dance for real kids!
We keep our classes small. Some studios will pack your child into a class with 20 or more kids. It's far more profitable for them. Kids Dance Now! has class sizes that average 8-10 so that each child gets individual attention. It's more fun for the kids, it's more fun for the instructor, and it's more fun for you!
We help children build self-confidence throughout our programs. Every spring, we hold an annual show (what traditional studios call a "recital". This is completely optional for you and your child, but it's a different experience than those other studios. One day, one hour, one costume! No special shoes, no mandatory make-up or inappropriate designs. Just great fun for all the family, and you'll probably get in and out for well under $100 including costume! (If you haven't already experienced it, some studios will have you poorer by $300-400 before you're done!).
What happened to Dancercise?
Rest assured it's still us! We discovered that many of you simply weren't aware that we offer a full range of dance classes for kids in addition to our unique Dancercise Kids introductory dance classes. So now our Minnetonka studio is Kids Dance Now! If you've already registered for classes, nothing has changed, we've just re-branded our studio to help us stand out a bit more!
